Scarlet has her first taste of real food! She LOVED it!
Poor baby was teething and I didn't have anything cool around to soothe her aching gums....so I gave her cantalope!
Don't judge me, I know Cantalope is not on the "approved" food list until month 8-10.

Stef it is totally okay, I gave Kinlee her first taste of cantelope a month ago. It is what makes them stronger!:o) I can't believe she is teething already
My dad gave all of my kids ice cream at one month old, so don't worry. She is so darling! I can't wait to see her (and Alice) again at Christmastime! You guys just all live to far away!!!
It's not like you're rubbing her gums with bourbon :) That's so cute! I couldn't find them for my second daughter, but with my first daughter, Madeline, we used these really cool little things that looked like nets with closed bottle caps. You drop food into it, cantaloupe or bananas or whatever, and then capped it off and the babies just kind of suck/chew the food from between the net so they don't choke. Did that make any sense? It was hard to explain!
