Oh, Hello 2010.

Its funny how New Year's Eve changes when you have kids.

When you're single New Year's is all about the excitement. "Exactly how much fun can I squeeze into this 6 hour window...drive to Vegas? No problem. "

When you get married and become DINKS (double-income no kids), its all about the experience. "Wow, that new restaurant was perfect, could you taste the dill in the sauce? And that movie, musical, play, moonlit walk, was the perfect way to bring in the New Year."

Then, when you have kids, New Year's becomes all about them. "How late do you think she can make it tonight? Oh, she already fell asleep? Wake her up! She just threw up? Awesome."

And, its the BEST way to do it. I get so bored of myself.
For New Year's this year, the most memorable event was the fish pond we did with the kiddo's.
It took a little coaching at first.
But they LOVED it!

Can you tell?
Happy New Year!

Why do I have such awesome facial expressions. No, honestly, do I really look like a caricature all the time? :) I love this post. You captured it perfectly. Thank you! That last one of Chancelor and the cousins is one of my all-time favorite pictures of him. He and Alice are going to run this town!!!

Hahahaha. Corey and I just went out last night to this chic restaurant and basically repeated verbatim what you wrote about DINKS. Then we went to the Moscow Ballet of the Nutcracker...I feel like I'm on the right track.
