My angel Mother, Alice Raynes, suffered a heart attack and went into a coma. Despite the amazing efforts of my family, EMT's, doctors and nurses; it was discovered from an MRI that the cognitive areas of her brain were deprived of oxygen too long. Even if she were to wake from her coma, which is unlikely, she wouldn't be the Mom we all know and love. According to my Mom's wishes, her assisted breathing will be removed on Wednesday.
