10 Honest Things

My cousin, Rachel Chenoweth, tagged me with the Honest Blogger Award and the rules are such: 10 honest things about yourself and then tag 10 other people who you think are honest bloggers.

Here goes my ten things:

1- I am a writer for a living, yet sometimes I lack confidence in my writing abilites. Except when I come up with awesome tag lines like: "Put the BOSS in embossing". Then I feel good about myself again.

2- I wear glasses so people will think I am smarter than I am. Or more artsy than I am. Or more cool than I am. But mostly so people will mistake me for Tina Fey.

3- I am so tired right now I want to cry. Nate is outta town and I am manning ALL the night shifts. TIRED.

4- I don't sleep at night because I spend the time I SHOULD be sleeping kissing my baby Scarlet. I can't help it. There is no cure. I will be tired for the REST of my life.

5- Alice and I played our first game of make-believe last night. She wanted to be Boots, I was Dora, and Scarlet was Benny the Bull. Our mission, and we chose to accept it, was to get the sticky tape to Benny the Bull before it was too late. I cannot lie. It was the MOST fun I have ever had.

6- I feed Alice junk food. THANK HEAVENS I have Diane who feeds her veggies.

7- I still don't know if I am a good mom. But I am guessing since my kids are just about the COOLEST EVER, than I am doing something right. That something right meaning I married Nate and have Diane as a babysitter.

8- I still get flustered around Nate. Like I hope I am cool enough to hang out with him.

9- A part of me just wants to move to a tropical island with Nate and my kidlets and just live there forever soaking up the warmth, eating fruit, and pretending I am a native. Then I remember two things: 1- I am a redhead and the sun is my mortal enemy. 2- I can't remember....I just want to be WARM!

10- I think I am funnier than I really am.
